Objective:

Under the direction of the Key Account Manager the TAP Program Manager will provide leadership, staffing, training, and support to the entire TAP team to achieve short and long-term goals of the company.  Working through TAP Market Development Managers the TAP Program Manager will help to build and sustain a program in territories across Iowa and Southern Illinois meeting the guidelines of their respective Walmart Regional Managers, Market Managers, and Store Teams.  In addition, the TAP Program Manager will be responsible for carrying out direction from the Walmart Home Office to ensure the success of the TAP program in stores.  This includes collaborating with other suppliers, presenting information to Walmart groups, and interactions throughout the season with Walmart Management.  The TAP Program Manager will be held accountable for the execution of the TAP program across all territories while endorsing the mission, vision, and values of ColorPoint.   

 

This is a full-time salary position.

Salary Range is expected to be $50-$60,000

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Understand the hiring process while working closely with the HR Director to manage the process
  • Interview potential candidates
  • Verify all new hires complete all administrative hiring requirements
  • Mentor personnel through coaching, training, and development
  • Provide motivation and feedback to promote company policies and procedures
  • Create and present training information to Market Development Managers
  • Develop a successful working partnership with Walmart Regional Managers, Market Managers, and Store Managers to drive sales
  • Visit and assess the needs of each market
  • Attend and conduct Kick Off and Market meetings
  • Coach the ColorPoint team and assist with developing their relationships with Walmart team members
  • Ensure the ColorPoint team has established a partnership that enhances the working environment
  • Create, monitor, and provide a budget in regulation with TAP requirements
  • Provide communication, direction, and leadership to the merchandising teams
  • Ensure team members are adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Evaluate store metrics and identify needs and solutions for performance improvement
  • Identify issues and performance gaps and resolve at Regional and Market levels
  • Ensure all calendared and seasonal events are executed properly
  • Ensure merchandising teams are executing all TAP merchandising guidelines
  • Deliver excellent customer service and assess product and service needs
  • Work through Market Development Managers to resolve product issues with all Walmart Live Goods Suppliers
  • During off-season, maintain strong working relationships with Walmart Regional and Market Managers by continuously visiting and building deeper relationships while promoting best practices
  • Manage special projects as requested including weekly presentations and communication on the TAP program
  • Use tools and programs supplied effectively to maintain time management and maximize efficiencies
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in managing from data analysis and evaluating performance of products and employees

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

  • Must be able to pass a Background Check and Motor Vehicle Check
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be flexible and able to work additional hours as needed
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to coordinate work of others
  • Ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
  • Strong financial skills, the ability to initiate relationships, and a strong aptitude for strategic thinking
  • Substantial working knowledge of operating results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on a daily basis
  • Strong computer skills required, including experience with word processing and spreadsheet application
  • Excel testing will be required
  • Experience working for Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes as an employee or service group member is a plus
  • Experience working for service groups (Acosta Sales and Marketing, Premium, Anderson Merchandisers, Crossmark, and SAS Retail Services) is also a plus
