Intern From The Netherlands Joins ColorPoint Illinois To Undertake A Significant Research Project

ColorPoint Illinois is pleased to announce a new international student internship program. Meet Ricardo van Os’. He comes to Illinois from Naaldwyk, Netherlands and is a student at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. To fill an internship requirement, he has chosen to come to the United States and intern with CPI. Ricardo is 22 years old and works with his father at their family greenhouse named Plant Grower van Os. The van Os family specializes in growing pot Ranunculus and Geraniums; the family has been in business for three generations.

Here, Ricardo will be completing a research project investigating plant root stimulators. The research subject in question is AEM, a beneficial biological media inoculant Illinois has been manufacturing in house for years now. Ricardo’s study will help ColorPoint determine this additives effectiveness. It will help determine if AEM is discontinued or utilized at both facilities. ColorPoint is excited to have Ricardo on the team and looks forward to hosting future interns.
